Laser Vision Procedures

Uniquely Precise, Safer and Predictably Better Vision!

Our team of experienced surgeons perform LASIK (Laser-in-Situ Keratomileusis) and PRK (Photorefractive Keratectomy). We offer customized Wavefront treatments based on digital information from your personalized eye map. All of our laser vision correction procedures are blade-free meaning a blade or scalpel never touches the eye. The best way to find out which procedure is best for you is to schedule a complimentary evaluation. You and your surgeon will decide together which procedure will provide you with the safest and best possible outcome for your unique eyes.

LASIK is a two-step process.

First, your eye is numbed using topical drops to insure you are comfortable. Your surgeon will then create a thin corneal flap with a gentle laser beam to prepare for the corrective treatment.

Second, your surgeon will use a cool beam laser to reshape the underlying corneal tissue to the desired curvature. There is little discomfort after the procedure since a thin protective layer of cornea is left intact while the eye heals. Vision is improved within hours.

PRK (Photorefractive Keratectomy) uses a cool beam of light to gently reshape the surface layer of the eye called the cornea.

The eye is numbed using topical numbing eye drops. A light is then presented for fixation and in less than 60 seconds the light pulses reshape the cornea to the desired curvature.

After PRK, vision is blurred for three to five days as the surface layer of the eye heals. A clear contact lens acts as a bandage to minimize discomfort and aid in the healing process.
