Cataract procedure:

  • 1. A small incision is made in the eye, and the cloudy lens will be broken up and removed.
  • 2. A new lens is folded and inserted through the same incision, where it will unfold and be held in place by haptics or small “arms.”
  • 3. With the clear lens now in place, you can enjoy your improved vision.


A cataract is the natural lens inside the eye which becomes discolored and clouded,resulting in hazy or blurred vision at all distances. Surgery is the only way a cataract can be removed. More than 3 million cataract procedures are performed each year, making it the most common surgery performed in the United States. It is an outpatient procedure performed in our CMS certified and AAAHC accredited ambulatory surgery center.

TRADITIONAL CATARACT SURGERY

Options to reduce the need for glasses after surgery.

Goal:

  • Remove cataract to improve vision with standard procedure

Expectations:

  • Improved vision with a clear lens
  • May need glasses for all distances

Includes:

  • Standard cataract surgery which is accepted by most insurance
    plans (you will still be responsible for deductible and coinsurance)
  • 3 month post-operative period for surgical eye

  • Most recent technologies in
    pre-operative testing
  • Including Specialized Intraocular Lenses,
    corneal incisions, and Lasers to correct
    your astigmatism and near vision
    $1250 per eye (patient also responsible for
    co-pays & deductibles)
Goal:

  • Remove cataract to improve vision
  • Functional vision for most daily activities
    without glasses or contacts
  • Correct Astigmatism

Expectations:

  • May need glasses for fine print or
    when reading in low light situations

Includes:

  • Custom technology in pre-operative testing
  • Customized Multifocal Lens Implant
  • LRI (Limbal Relaxing Incision) for
    astigmatism correction
  • LASIK or PRK enhancement
    $2500 per eye (patient also responsible for
    co-pays & deductibles)

Affordability: Do not delay getting Custom or Premium cataract surgery because you feel you are unable to afford it. We can help you determine payment options, including flex plans and 12 months 0% financing options. Limitations: It is important to note that not everyone may qualify for all packages. Eye diseases including, but not limited to,corneal disease, retinal disease, glaucoma or dry eye may prevent patients from achieving 20/20 vision.

All cataract surgery may require minimal glasses correction to achieve best vision at various stages of healing.

Procedures not covered by insurance to attain desired results are covered up to 1 year. Procedures that are covered by insurance, such as: Yag Laser Capsulotomy will be billed to insurance and co-pays and deductibles will apply.
